Its been ages now…..since I saw Birds. I think I saw birds around when I was a child or when I visited a Zoo. So now Happiness surrounds me when I see or hear a bird chirp. Recently in Prem Nagar Dayalbagh I saw a “Robin. A sprightly shy bird.

A medium-sized robin with a broad white wingbar running from the shoulder to the tip of the wing and white outer tail feathers. Males sport black-and-white plumage while the females are grayish brown and white. Juveniles resembles females, but have a scaly head….I saw many other birds when I was a child…but this day was somewhat different…..I wonder how I could brief a bird this way…..but I was really happy and didn’t wanted this bird to fly when I was capturing it, my observation was sharp and clear.

They have a good repertoire of melodious calls and are known to imitate other bird calls. The most commonly heard call is a whistle given at dawn. Most often seen seen singing from a high exposed perch. These birds are often seen in cultivated areas, woodlands, and gardens.

Nowadays birds are rarely seen and heard there may be many reasons like lack of food, water, degraded air quality or Air pollution, Deforestation, Global warming and many more. Its also said that we should place a bowl with some water in our Balconies or on the roof top so that these birds live long.

Recently I went through an article which said Depression can be healed by Bird chirp naturally. Since its very common and stress these days and lots of people suffer Depression, I decided to write a story in brief that I read recently. There was a small story in this Article where a man was suffering with severe Depression due to his job loss and was not getting cured since last 2 years despite he was given lot of Medicines to consume. Then his Family and Friends advised him to visit his town for a change where his childhood Friend helped him in healing…they remembered their childhood days, he took him daily for the morning walk where he used to get him to hear lot of Bird chirps in the forest amidst fresh air and morning sunrise and also he started taking Ayurvedic Treatment. After following these practices for 2 months he started healing and opening up and after an year he was back to his normal life. I feel this is the magic of Nature and Birds…we had an opportunity to preserve our Nature, Animals & Birds…but we didn’t used this opportunity well and now we rarely find them.
